We have the power to create our reality no matter the forces of evil that are at work in the world. And there is no doubt the forces of evil are alive and well.

The manger was the beginning. How we reflect to our world this great mystery of God, made one like us, will be the manifestation of the Lord in 2021.

Are we, who listen to Jesus’ word and follow Him today, a Holy Family?

Will we have the love, courage, and faith of a 14-year-old girl in Nazareth?

Temporary emotions of happiness, sadness, fear, or even lethargy and apathy, despite their power, do not have the strength to extinguish the light of God’s Joy.

When we are centered in God’s peace, we can coexist with unrest and anxiety. Rather than being overpowered by upset, we transform it.

Trying to mask the feelings that weigh us down with a happy face only deepens the feelings of isolation and sorrow.

Gut hope is hope that lives deep inside us and promises us that we are not alone. It is a hope that assures us that God knows our name, and our heart is carved from His own heart.

When we grow closer and closer to God, we become so much a part of God that we respond as God would respond.

We are the caretakers of both the extraordinary and humble gifts that God has given us.
