This Gospel calls us all to take a hard look at ourselves. It challenges us not to pat ourselves on the back for the marginalized people we accept but to look for the ones we do not accept.

The cross is not the end. The cross is never the end. Do not give it more power than it deserves.  

God can only nurture the Gifts of the Spirit in us if we are open and want His intervention and healing.

God abides in me if kindness, humility, compassion, and love come from my words and actions.

“Following Jesus was no longer about them. It was about Jesus, who He is, and what that means if they continue to follow. The rubber has hit the road.”

God’s image and likeness are neither earned nor deserved.  They are a gift.  The quest, the desire for the Kingdom of Heaven, has been planted in us since the beginning of time.

We need not wait for our mortal death to know the power of God’s love.  We need only to gaze on His Sacred Heart. 

Incredibly, our God deems us sinful, striving, weak, and wanting humans to be one with Him in the Eucharist.

The Trinity is the first and the most profound love story ever. I dare say it is the heart of every love story we have been blessed to embrace in our lifetime.

When the breath of life was breathed into our lungs, God came to reside in us. The fullness of God made a home within us.
