I will wait to return to church when it is NOT mandated I wear a mask to participate in the celebration of the mass. This is still a free country and I am a healthy & informed adult. I choose not to feed into the devils Fears…
God is of LOVE! This is where I keep my faith.
I greatly appreciate to have the beautiful taped masses available to watch at home and now will also have some wondersul music to enhance it.
When it is optional and/or not even recommended to wear masks, I will join you then.
Respectfully, Kathy S.
In the name of “safety, “ will the Eucharistic ministers and priests be wearing sterile gloves, as well, when passing out the Sacred Consecrated Body of Christ during Communion?
Hi Donna, The Bishop’s office has called for washing, then sanitizer, then after communion sanitizer again, followed by washing hands again after Mass. Avoidance of hand contact while sharing the Eucharist should prevent Eucharistic ministers from becoming a go-between for those receiving. Along with our guidance that those from households with vulnerable persons refrain from Mass attendance at this time, we pray that the informed directions from our Diocese will prevent any harm during our limited gathering in church. Gloves serve a limited use according to the latest CDC guidance, but we are happy to adapt to new information as it continues to be processed by the world’s experts.
