We love God. It is as simple and as profound as that. If we did not love Him, we would not seek Him.

The tomb is not necessary for the divine nature of Jesus. The divine nature of Jesus could have been raised immediately. The tomb is essential for the human nature of Jesus.

Amen, Amen, Amen 

Our sins should bother us. They should annoy us. We should never allow ourselves to become complacent and ignore or fail to remember when we have sinned.

The sins of judging others and casting derision on another for any reason put us far from the Kingdom of God. 

God gives us Holy Ground moments when He whispers His name in our ear. When He says, “This is who I am.”

If we can quote chapter and verse from the scripture, but if we don’t hear the music of faith, the words are empty. They are words without power, without passion.

Jesus becomes one with us, and we become one with Him. He becomes the rudder man on our team. He is the muscular guy on the end of the rope.

We do not carry the image on a piece of cloth. Instead, we take it into our very being so that when anyone looks at us, they see in us the “true image” of Jesus.  

This reading is painting a masterpiece that is not just about acting toward others. Instead, it is a picture of how God behaves toward us.
