We come into this Advent in a broken world and a fractured nation. We seek peace, respect, understanding, and a world where everyone is honored and respected.

Having a life stance that impels us to embrace the poor and respond to their needs is an attitude that is planted and grows in our souls. Some of us tend the seed of God within us, and some let it wither.

For us, our churches, our communities, and most significantly, in our hearts, we pray for the blameless, whatever name they carry.

Gospel humility is dancing freely and unabashedly in the truth of who we are without worrying that we will look foolish.

Dorothy Day once said, “We only love God as much as we love the person we love the least.” Now, there is a sobering thought!

When others look at the face of the “coin” that is my life, will it be easy to tell who I belong to?

God invites us all to be a part of the Kingdom of Heaven and His Kingdom on earth. We are welcome whatever our past, poor decisions, or present situation. We are invited, the imperfect and the floundering. We are invited as we are for who we are. God wants us all to fill the wedding feast of Heaven.
